Enjoy a glimpse of Royal life and State occasions at Buckingham Palace, which has served as the official London residence of Britain’s sovereigns since 1837 and today is the administrative headquarters of the monarch.

The Royal household is lavishly furnished with exquisite treasures, and a tour of the State Rooms is sure to be the highlight of your visit. In addition, a special exhibition is taking place in 2013 to mark the 60th anniversary of The Queen’s Coronation. At the heart of the displays will be Her Majesty’s spectacular Coronation Dress, designed by Norman Hartnell, and the Coronation Robe, richly embroidered by the Royal School of Needlework. Also on display will be an unprecedented selection of dress and uniforms worn by other members of the Royal Family and the maids of honour, and works of art connected with the Coronation. In addition, you have the opportunity to extend your time at the Palace with a tour of the gardens.

Add to this some free time in Royal Windsor for shopping or sightseeing, and you are sure to be delighted by this terrific value 2 day Omega break with Royal connections!

A visit to the castle is a possibility; you should allow 2-3 hours for this. Alternatively, you may wish to simply browse the town’s shops or take a stroll along the banks of the River Thames. You could perhaps cross the pedestrian bridge into historic Eton, famous for its public school, or wander along a stretch of the Long Walk in Windsor Great Park, before returning to the coach for the final short journey to your hotel at around 4.30pm.

Day 2, Sunday: After a full English breakfast, we will depart for central London and the highlight of your break; your visit to Buckingham Palace. After your tour of the State Rooms, those clients who have opted to continue with the garden tour will do so, while other clients have this time to spend at leisure either shopping or sightseeing. After a most fascinating day, we will commence the journey home at approximately 3pm.
